Overview:
This is a hybrid role based in Malvern, PA.
The Specialist, Risk Management will assist with the coordination of the corporate insurance programs and administration of related risk management initiatives within the company’s Risk Management function.
Responsibilities:
- Support Risk Manager with day-to-day administration of the insurance programs including maintaining files with policies and endorsements and responding to insurance related inquiries in a timely manner

Coordinate the maintenance of policy documentation for renewal and invoicing purposes for all lines of coverage including but not limited to: Property, General Liability, FINPRO, Cyber, Flood and Environmental

Coordinates the collection and organization of policy endorsements, invoices, etc.

Engage frequently with insurance brokers and carriers to give updates or request endorsements, certificates, Auto ID cards for company employees and fleet, (etc. )

Coordinates with the risk manager the collection and maintenance of exposure data for insurance renewals.

Reporting of private passenger vehicles and trucks to the insurance broker and coordinate the issuance of automobile ID cards.

Communicates store acquisitions and dispositions to relevant third parties, including necessary exposure information collected from internal teammates.

Provides assistance in the underwriting process for Third Party Managed Property and Casualty insurance program.

Distribute list of active Third Party Owners enrolled in CubeSmart owner-operator program.

Manages with Data entry of exposure information, store information, contacts, insurance information, etc. into Origami RMIS system.

Update and maintain database that stores all property values and details for all owned store locations to provide carriers and underwriters appropriate up to date data in times of property loss, rebuilds, renewals, etc

Manages the collection and management of certificates of insurance from third parties, including data entry into Origami to track compliance.

Maintain database used to store all Certificates of Insurance for Third Party Owned (CubeSmart Managed) store locations, Commercial Tenants, Service Vendors and ensure all Certificates meet the minimum requirements

Co-manages the maintenance of Origami RMIS system

Maintain database for all company contracts submitted for legal review by multiple departments and collect necessary documentation to ensure all files are complete and reviewed by Legal Counsel in a timely manner

Lead quarterly meetings in regards to company contract intake and update both Legal Counsel, Finance Team on any and all critical items

Review Access Agreements and determine whether the insurance documents provided meets the minimum requirements and approve or deny accordingly

Review and approve monthly SOW’s for multiple vendor contracts and provide executed documentation to appropriate internal department for filing purposes

Work with outside vendors to ensure the use of insurance portals are being utilized at its highest potential and brainstorm ideas on ways to simplify and excel with management of systems

Collect and maintain documentation for monthly reconciliation of Chief Legal Officer’s corporate expense reporting

Handles other general administrative responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:
Minimum Required Qualifications (including Programs/systems experience)

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in insurance and/or risk management.

Experience in real estate is a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications

Insurance Designation such as ARM, Associate in Risk Management

Computer skills and proficiency with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC

Strong critical thinking, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
