Payroll Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accuracy in all payroll transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
- Analyze payroll data, including Debits and Credits, to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees regarding pay and deductions
- Assist in preparing journal entries related to payroll transactions
- Perform data entry tasks related to employee compensation and benefits
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to analyze numerical data effectively
- Prior experience in a payroll clerk role is a plus
