POSITION SUMMARY
We are searching for a Restaurant Logistics Manager for our Mephibo’s House Life Skills program. This is a leadership position for the individual who wants to combine his/her skills with our talented team in a challenging, rewarding, and innovative environment. Reporting to the Director, this position will oversee Mephibo’s House program model and manage the daily operations of the Life Skills based programming for adults with disabilities while serving the community through the cafe..
Status: Exempt (Salary), Full-Time, 40 hours/week (Saturday through Wednesdays) Weekends required.

Competencies
- Manage support staff/volunteers (towel holders) who will fall under the CAFE & Mephibo’s House Life Skills. Includes, but is not limited to hiring, training, scheduling and managing staff based on programming needs. Collaborate with other ministry leaders to recruit, train and mobilize towel holders; assigning appropriate tasks and manage/appreciate staff & towel holders in their roles.
- Responsible for ensuring the CAFE is operational six days a week and for special and catering events as well.
- Use a holistic approach to adapt the environment and tasks to fit the participants of the Mephibo’s House Life Skills program, geared towards equipping adults with disabilities with essential skills for independent living.
- Helping Life Skills participants to fully engage in social situations through their experience in the CAFE setting.
- Establish and maintain a monthly inventory control system to minimize expense, spoilage, and loss.
- Manage the supply chain flow of products, materials, information, services, control, and implementation of storage.
- Build relationships with CAFE & Mephibo’s House participants, vendors, their families/caregivers.
- Manage billing aspects of the CAFE including maintaining accurate records, creating invoices, and collecting payments.
- Effective communicator: demonstrate high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills to include ongoing communication with CAFE donors and Mephibo’s House participants, staff, and towel holders.

Credentials (Educational & Professional Requirements)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree required.
- At least two years working/managing a restaurant/cafe environment.
- Certification in food handling
- Proven experience of multitasking; being productive, focused, and flexible in a creative and sometimes chaotic environment.
- Ability to give clear directions and lead in a classroom/group environment.
- Must be able to work independently with little oversight while maintaining a high degree of quality and professionalism.
- Preferred experience in the community of disabilities and be flexible and adaptable to change.
