POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are a brick & mortal retail store that specializes in Sanrio (Hello Kitty) and other kawaii character goods; shipping and warehousing is done in back of house. Seeking a Retail Shipping Manager familiar with retail and online shipping, customer service, and warehouse organization.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Lead, develop, and manage a retail shipping & brick & mortar business. Provide superior leadership to support the company’s goals to achieve sales goals and ensure the prompt, accurate, efficient processing of customer orders, and provide an excellent customer experience.
DUTIES:
- Manage and implement protocols for order processing, inventory control and receiving, customer service, and employee development.
- Manage Customer Service, Shipping, and Warehouse staff to ensure accurate processing of orders within 48 hours, maintain service levels and ensure functions are being performed accurately and promptly.
- Promote the satisfactorily resolution of Customer issues, while responding to inquiries within 48 hrs.
- Manage warehouse inventory and locations.
- Manage receiving and stocking of incoming products.
- Administrate the personnel recruitment process, screen candidates & support recruitment of new employees. Attract, hire, train, coach, develop, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
- Develop, schedule, and implement training programs for staff.
- Provide overall Human Resources support in areas of training and performance.
- Maintain and execute organzing and cleaning programs for warehouse.
- Manage inventory controls per company standards.
- Protect company assets and minimize loss according to standards and operating procedures, including workplace safety, controls and loss prevention.
- Maintain frequent communications with staff and managers.
- Provide regular reporting to management, attend meetings as requested.
- Other requests as specified from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years retail and/or shipping management experience.
- Retail E-Commerce and/or Brick and Mortar Management Experience.
- Knowledge of UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Mgr, MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic accounting.
- Familiarity with Japanese pop culture titles and products.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal communications, and presentation skills
- Customer Service oriented with a problem-solving mentality
- Must be highly savvy and efficient with computer and internet use
- Very detail oriented.
- Familiar with Shopify is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to oversee and prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
