Virtual Front Office Medical Receptionist
JOB DESCRIPTION: You will perform a key role in assisting day-to-day clinic operations as a part of a team driven to excellence. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
Position Overview:
1. Check in patients as they arrive online, gather appropriate demographics and insurance information. Virtual handoff to provider and accept patient back for followup scheduling. Address any patient concerns within the scope of the position or refer to management as deemed necessary.
2. Collect patient balances, co-pays, deductibles,etc virtually.
3. Schedule appointments from the messaging system and contact us form from the website. Also schedule over the phone as needed and refer patients to online intake to screen potential patients. Follow up with patients expeditiously to schedule patients appropriate for the practice. Basic established protocol to refer to medical director prior to scheduling patient if presenting issue is untenable without authorization. Chart closures and referral out as necessary. Referral of patients to psychotherapists and medical providers to foster relationships and excellent patient care.
4. Virtual check-in and check-out process of patients seen daily with the clinic. Position may become hybrid which requires candidate to be within commuting distance from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Must be flexible for the 40 hour work week as virtual care is often provided after business hours.
5. Answer phones as necessary and take messages from patients and notify providers accordingly to any patient concerns that need to be addressed.
6. Miami is the primary location and shared space in Ft. Lauderdale if needed for in person patient appointments.
7. Bilingual candidates( English-Spanish) only.
8. Must be extremely proficient at booking and filling multiple provider schedules with accuracy and manipulation of the appointment schedules using wait list function , moving patients up and/or around or other means to completely fill all provider schedules day in and day out.
REQUIREMENTS
One year of medical front office experience preferred.
One year of customer service with multi-phone line experience preferred.
