Summary of Role:
Provide clients with expertise in the field of Surety insurance along with a quality of service that maintains long-term relationships. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Support and maintain the Surety Department, including staff and production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Maintaining and reporting bond numbers for numerous agency codes
- Help accounting with any bond related issues
- Scan and keep all state bond templates updated in the system
- Notarization
- Prepare and pack new bonds to be mailed
- Prepare quotes for prospective clients
- Prepare collateral and/or financial agreements, invoices
- Process Surety Bond Applications for credit review
- Pull credit reports as needed
- Set up accounts in EPIC
- Send credit to appropriate parties
- Issue bonds, riders, handle association service work on client account
- Report issued bonds to carriers reporting systems
- Assist clients with payments
- Handle renewal information as needed by carrier
- Assist Producers with client needs
- Work with various brokers as point of contact for service and issue/bind requests
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
- Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people
- Competent skills with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
- Experience with EPIC and Applied is desired
- Must be able to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good conflict-resolution skills under pressure
- Attention to details
- May be required to work overtime as necessary
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School graduate or general education degree (GED), college preferred
- Previous P&C insurance office experience desired
- Surety experience required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:
- P&C Insurance License preferred
