Weedoo is the industry’s leading manufacturer of aquatic weed harvesters and weed cutters. Our corporate headquarters is located in West Palm Beach, and we are looking for a full time bookkeeper with strong administrative and organizational skills to join our team. Must be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, extremely detail oriented, and a fast learner. Accounting and QuickBooks Enterprise experience is necessary.
Summary:
The Bookkeeper will maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Job Description:
· Inventory and Production: Must fully understand inventory controls and functions, including issuing purchase orders, receiving items and applying to bills in A/P. We will train, but Manufacturing experience is instrumental. QuickBooks Enterprise experience is required.
· Month end Close: Prepares and/or reviews monthly journal entries and ensures appropriate code and allocations amounts to ensure compliance with organization's policies and procedures. Reconciles general ledger accounts, adjusts the general ledger accordingly, with appropriate backup and explanations, standard journal entries and reconciles related variances through the financial statements.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Banking Transactions: Must be able to use online banking platforms, process client payables and receivables. Reconcile client bank accounts and credit cards.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.
· Financial Reporting: Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports, summaries, and statements, including but not limited to trial balance and income statements.
- Payroll Data Entry: We outsource our payroll but journal entries and minor work around payroll.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitoring of expenditures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) to maintain and process financial information.
- Support Audits: Assist with audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations, when instructed by the CEO.
- Expense Tracking: Track and monitor company expenses and advise on cost-saving measures.
- Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting systems.
- Communication: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and financial institutions as required.
- Administrative: Tasks as requested by CEO.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a full charge bookkeeper or staff accountant to include working in QuickBooks with accounts payable and receivable, recording accounting entries in the general ledger; previous experience with inventory or related preferred.

· Multi-Tasking: Must be detail oriented, analytical and comfortable with multiple transitions between tasks at the same time.
· Accounting Compliance: Demonstrates knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements preparation.
· Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Decisive, critical thinker with the ability to problem solve and make suggestions on improving bookkeeping processes for efficiency.
· Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
- Occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with a standard 40-hour work week.
- This position is full time, Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- We ask that candidates live locally and have reliable transportation.
- You must be willing to submit to a background and drug test.
