This is a Full-Time, Exempt Position
Under the supervision of the Children’s Home Society of California’s Director of Information Technology, the Senior Network Administrator will:
· Plan, implement, analyze, maintain, and support the LAN/WAN/VPN and related operating systems; install, upgrade, and maintain network operating systems.
· Install, maintain, and oversee the operation of Windows servers, routers, switches, and related peripheral equipment.
· Provide connection for LAN/WAN/VPN and related applications; maintain operating systems, client-server software, and utilities.
· Configure and install productivity tools, Windows servers, and various systems; write documentation for each server; test and configure new server software.
· Provide specialized technical assistance in the planning and developing of new projects and systems; conduct research on new technologies and implementation strategies; recommend and implement improvements; research and plan for new network protocols and network operating system implementations.
· Provide technical support to computer operations and programming staff; serve as a resource to other staff. And provide appropriate user support as assigned.
· Maintain schedules for system backups, server maintenance, system logs, and disaster recovery.
· Evaluate new software application packages to determine if they meet Agency needs.
· May provide systems maintenance for any software package, including diagnosing and resolving problems.
· Train and provide direction for end-users involving various software packages.
· Install, set up, and maintain Unified Communication equipment, such as desk phones, softphones (WebEx), VOIP gateways, and VOIP-enabled devices.
· Install, set up, and maintain computer hardware and software.
· Responsible for day-to-day handling of issues, user questions, and problems.
· Responsible for accurate and timely equipment inventory.
· Perform hardware upgrades and other hardware-related activities.
· Assist in the relocation of current equipment.
· Assist in the distribution of new equipment.
· As a member of the CHS Management Staff, support the agencies mission, demonstrate leadership, and conduct oneself as a positive model for staff
· Provide technical assistance and resources to families and child care providers
· Maintain all records in a high-quality manner and within record protection, retention, and destruction guidelines
· Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and governmental regulations
· Work some evening and weekend hours, as needed, to support department operations
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent work experience in network administration and support required
· Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the field of network and system administration
· IT certifications will be an advantage:
o CompTIA Security +
o Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
o Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator-Specializations: Messaging (MCSA)
o Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
o Nimble Storage Installer and Operator Professional (NIOP)
· Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN):
o Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Nimble Storage
o HPE Storage Management Utility (SMU)
o HPE Array Configuration Utility (ACU),
o HPE Array Diagnostic Utility (ADU).
· Experience with virtualization and cloud computing:
o VMware ESXi server
o VMware vCenter server
· Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP):
o AT&T Hosted Voice Service (HVS)
o Mitel Hosted VOIP
o Vonage Cloud Business
o Spectrum Enterprise Unified Communication
· Experience with Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW):
o Sonicwall NSA series firewall
o Fortinet Fortigate firewall
o Barracuda Web Application firewall
· Experience with the following Cybersecurity systems:
o Tenable io vulnerability scanner
o Sophos security suites
· Experience with the following Windows Server versions: 2021, 2019, 2016, 2012 Active Directory Infrastructures, DNS, and DHCP.
· Experience with the following Exchange Server versions: 2019, 2016, and 2013
· Knowledge of Exchange Online Office 365.
· Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching protocols.
· Knowledge of cloud-based wireless network management systems.
· Exemplary skills in the latest version of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
· Proven experience with network cabling
· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Ability to prepare and present effective written work, provide strong attention to detail, and produce error free work
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the agency staff
· Proactive self-motivator with a professional, positive, and flexible attitude
· Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices
SALARY SCALE:
Entry level pay for this position is $1,923.07 per week; the full pay scale is $1,923.07 to $2,302.69 per week. Advancement on pay scale is based on qualifications, such as experience and education, and eventual job performance.
