Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Professional Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our client's software, hardware, and networks. The role aims to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently to support client projects and internal requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software and hardware systems, ensuring the whole system is functional and secure.
- Assist with escalated tickets to help fully support, configure, and maintain corporate customers’ networks, servers, and SANs.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages, ensuring high availability and timely upgrades.
- Secure systems with appropriate firewalls, backup procedures, and access controls.
- Assist with the implementation of new solutions or improvements to existing systems.
- Document any processes related to system configuration or network mapping.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff and clients, ensuring all systems operate effectively for all projects.
- Work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure high quality of service and timely project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to ensure the MSP is offering the most relevant and effective solutions to clients.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security protocols, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for client systems.
- Provide high-level technical support to clients for a variety of IT systems and applications, including servers, networks, cloud-based services, and storage systems.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to clients when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior-level systems administration role.
- Expertise in administering Windows Server, virtualization technologies, storage systems, and cloud-based services.
- Experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, and other network protocols.
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of junior administrators.
