Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial software and governmental accounting practices.

Accounting
- Responsible for managing Quickbooks Online
- Oversee accounting for multiple entities
- Accurately invoice in a timely manner
- Invoicing in a way that aligns with customers budget and categories
- Create Bills and Audit Bill creation
- Reconcile all bank accounts, all bank and credit card transaction are in QBO
- Follow matching principle insuring that income and expenses are matched to the same month
- Make correct Journal Entries as required
- Create accurate financial reports including, balance sheets, PnL, Cash flow, and Budget variance
- Closing the books monthly, sending draft of reports by 5th and final reports by the 10th of the month according to Closing procedure
- Monitor bills payable and create weekly report of bills payable
- Send large bills for payment according to the SOP looking at the credit card balances and credit card preferences
- Complete cash balances weekly with a forecast to get us to the 15th, including any drafts set to come out of checking, for example salaries, Divvy and Ramp or any other credit cards
- Facilitate outside audits from CPA firms.
- Work with CFO to create a budget by Oct 31st each year
- Ensure that sales accounts and COGs accounts have the gross profit that they should have
- Ensure that the company follows the Accounting SOP
- Keep accounting SOP up to date.
- Complete an internal audits
- Be proactive at evaluating the company's tax position and evaluating tax consequences for transactions.
Admin
- Promote accuracy by adopting systematic approaches such as double-checking work and establishing standardized procedures
- Try to expose the organization to as little risk as possible by monitoring payment processes and access to credit cards, banks, cash and Checks
- Management of information technologies, insurance,
- Sales tax reporting
- Keep crew member salary spreadsheet up to date
- Review all reports in Gusto that they file with the Government
- Payroll management, workforce engagement, compliance management, talent recruitment
- Audit personnel files quarterly insuring we have all required documents
Requirements:
- Quickbooks online expert
- CPA
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Expert knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Expert knowledge of producing GAAP financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
