Job Description
The Kitchen Manager assists with the organization and execution of Eataly’s back of house (BOH) staff and product operations, as well as with financial reporting and cost management and analysis to support the profitability objectives of the leadership team. Reports to the Executive Chef and Business Planning Analyst.
- Partners with the Chef de Cuisines and Human Resources on the management of the BOH team: hires, trains, motivates, schedules, submits payroll, evaluates and terminates as necessary
- Develops training materials and cross-trains the BOH team
- Designs and executes cost-containment strategies to maximize Eataly's market share and profits
- Receives and places orders for food and beverages for all restaurants; prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices; obtains recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
- Reviews invoices and deliveries, ensuring they are correct and on time
- Sorts and files receiving documents as necessary to organize all BOH ordering paperwork; makes adjustments in the Point of Sales system to manage inventory and record discrepancies
- Collaborates with Facilities and Food Safety to that ensure quality, service, health and safety standards are consistently met
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
