IPS - Rubbercraft (RCC) is seeking an Intern, Mechanical Design Engineering. This is a student (sophomore level or higher) who will learn the inner workings of an engineering oriented company that focuses on innovation in the Aerospace industry. Rubbercraft is an innovative elastomer seal company that services both, Commercial Aircrafts (e.g. Boeing, Airbus, Embraer) and Defense (e.g. Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman). With the growth we have seen in Rubbercraft, there is a real need to help our design engineering department with increease in workload.

The selected intern will work side-by-side with other design engineers and engineering managers with data management of drawings, 3D/2D models, specification, etc. including the following:
Job Accountabilities:

ENOVIA Data Management: Organize and manage engineering data

Documentation / Specs Research: Create, review, interpretate, and maintain project documentation and technical specifications using ENOVIA system

Drawings: Create detailed engineering drawings with industry-standard CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, Solidworks)

Configuration Control Board (CCB) & Engineering Requests (ER): assist the design team in collecting necesary data to conclude a CCB & ER process

Learn about PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and how to handle Document Configuration Control.

Learn the Best Practices for Designing Drawings and Models using CATIA and Solidworks.

Learn the Internal process of an order and how all the documents have an impact on other departments
Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of schooling pursuing a Bachelor's or degree in aerospace, mechanical or structural engineering
Years’ Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Skills:

Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations

Experience with solid modeling software

Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
