About the Role
The SaaS Staff Accountant will play a key role by overseeing the general ledger processes. The Staff Accountant’s primary focus will be ensuring accurate financial record-keeping in accordance with GAAP, maintaining workpapers, and preparing and posting journal entries. Successful candidates will have a passion for accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will enjoy enforcing GAAP and maintaining workpapers.
The Staff Accountant position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger process including preparing and posting journal entries
- Maintain reconciled workpapers
- Participate in the month end close cycle
- Assist with completion of the annual audit
- Perform ongoing reviews of general ledger records to ensure accuracy
- Maintain a current working knowledge of all new FASB accounting standards and assist in the implementation of relevant new standards
- Assist in the continuous improvement process
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in an accounting function
- Bachelor's degree required
- Sage intacct experience preferred
- SaaS experience preferred
- ASC606 knowledge preferred
- Self-motivated, critical thinker with prior experience collaborating across multiple departments
- Highly organized, structured & process-oriented, with great attention to detail, accuracy & consistency
- A curious mind with a passion for problem-solving

The pay range for this role is $50- 65K and varies based on several factors including geographical location, level of experience related to the role, education/ licensure/certificates of the individual filling the role and other business and operational considerations.
