Dental Assistant/Receptionist
We work an alternating schedule of Monday to Thursday 8am to 6pm(Friday off), and the next week Mon/Wed 8am-6pm, Tues/Thurs7am-3pm, Friday8am-2pm.

Under the supervision of the Dentist, applicant will be responsible for coordinating activities of the front and/or back dental office to ensure a collaborative environment that promotes smooth patient flow. Responsibilities include management of staff, daily operation document control. Serves as liaison between administrative staff and clinical staff. Prepare the patient for the determined treatment and assist the dentist in performing treatment. Prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have ready for the dentist's use, take x-rays and assist the dentist in laboratory work. The Registered Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies. Meticulous cleaning of the operatories, patient waiting room, and common spaces to provide the best possible patient experience.
Administration:
- Maintain rapport and good working relationship with all dental staff and providers.
- Responsible for receiving, investigating, resolving and reporting patient visitor complaints. Identifies and communicates trends and improvement needs, makes recommendations for solutions. Responsible for customer relation management.
- Responsible for preparing site and related materials, coordinating with dentist to manage site audits successfully.
- Assists Dentist supervise schedules and work flow.
Assists Dental Director with the development and implementation of dental policies and performance standards, which govern the areas and personnel supervised, making recommendations regarding nursing policies and procedures.
Clinical:
- Assist the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.
- Promote an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by demonstrating good oral hygiene, questioning patients to ascertain home status, instructing patients in techniques of flossing and brushing in accordance with protocol.
- Prepare operatory for patient treatment as per dentist directions.
- Takes digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform independent procedures as delegated and directed by the dentist in accordance with state regulation and law.
Quality Management:
- Distribute to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activities.
- Has direct contact with Dentist to ensure compliance of the dental clinics regarding safety, hazards, and clinical compliance.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public.
- Be a team player and cooperate in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
Safety:
- Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work practices.
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Know location of nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits.
HIPAA/Compliance:
- Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information only on a need to know basis for business purposes.
- Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity.
- Assist with various clinical and administrative functions of the center as appropriate and time permits.
- Ensure the sterility of all reusable dental instruments and equipment in accordance with Dental Department directive and protocol.
- Ensure the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials in accordance with policy as well as state and federal regulation(s).

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
