Event Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
Mission Breakthrough is seeking a full-time Event Assistant to provide support to our teams at national and international events. This position will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the event, including but not limited to: logistics, project management, client relations, and communication with the client and team members. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large scale events, preferably with a focus on hospitality and food service industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of an event including: preparation, cooking, service, and cleanup.
- Communicate with clients and project managers in a professional manner.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and set menus.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen during all events.
- Ensure that all event services are met to standards at each event.
- Support Event Team Members by providing assistance as needed: food service set-up, catering, event services (cooking, catering, planning), etc.
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work weekends during events (Friday through Sunday).
- Must have experience in hospitality or food service industry (cooking or restaurant).
