Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgeries for patients and coordinate with appropriate clinical and surgical personnel
- Discusses preoperative information with patients
- Provide patients with accurate information pertaining to their procedure
- Answer calls from patients scheduled for surgery and all surgery related inquiries
- Coordinate arrangements with hospitals, surgical equipment representatives, and other materials
- Serve as a friendly liaison between physician team and the patient
- Assist physician teams and other departments as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working as surgery or procedure scheduler, neurosurgery or orthopedic a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain professionalism and composure when speaking to patients and visitors
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Basic knowledge of computer programs
- Strong typing skills, quick and accurate data entry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
