Company overview and culture: Candle Cocoon, LLC was created in 1998 for candle sales, mainly free-standing pillar candles. The high end, quality and clean scent market was not in existence so the owner with her diverse scientific background began having scents made for her. Soon this erupted into other candle makers requesting scent products. In 1999 the first store front was opened. Hand crafted, ethically and environmentally sourced products and packaging are at the center of Candle Cocoon’s ideology. At this point in time, Candle Cocoon focuses on the sales of supplies to make candles, soap and bath and body products.
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Digital Marketing and Social Media Creator Coordinator develops social media content and campaigns and manages, implements, deploys and reports blog and social media program activities.
CORE DUTIES:
1. Create exciting new content across various social media platforms and report back the success of these campaigns.
2. Coordinate cross- media efforts and help team members by supporting Candle Cocoon’s strategic initiatives and understanding the role social media and the Candle Cocoon blog and YouTube play in these programs.
2. Upload, schedule and publish posts to Candle Cocoon social media channels using a social media management system or native platform.
3. Create and support paid and unpaid social media campaigns by:
- Boosting posts and creating campaigns in social media platform ads managers.
- Setting up campaign tracking. Use the social media management platform and/or Google URL creator to create automated tracking rules for posts linking to candlecocoon.com.
4. Aid the development of social media campaign strategy for product launches and other related marketing activities.
5. Pull data and help analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization.
6. Maintain an up-to-date calendar of dates that support Candle Cocoon’s social media strategy. Create content, with direction, for these events.
7. Review performance of social media campaigns against KPIs (key performance indicators) set up for each campaign.
8. Give live tutorial/demo/talks about kits and other Candle Cocoon products. Write blog articles on topics that relate to Candle Cocoon’s mission and values and/or marketing campaign and business initiative subject matter.
9. Create content and execute social media plans with Candle Cocoon’s social media platform strategies.
10. Maintain social media platforms (updated about us sections, links in YouTube video descriptions, fix broken links on blog, etc.)
11. Design and implement tests to evaluate digital platforms and feature performance.
12. Use Dashboards to watch for patterns and trends to optimize performance.
13. Understand the goals of Candle Cocoon and translate these to measurable and achievable goals attainable from social media marketing programs.
14. Provide social media support by:
- Coordinating the Candle Cocoon video and blog schedule; helping to ensure visibility.
- Scheduling posts through social media management platform.
15. Gain a basic knowledge across Marketing Services managed marketing technology platforms which include sales enablement; customer relationship, digital asset, webinar, and social media management; and email automation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or a related field.
2. Ability to execute administrative work in a team setting while showing structured critical thinking skills, and excellent judgment.
3. Prior experience in developing content for and managing social media schedules.
4. Strong data entry skills and diligence are needed.
5. Experience reviewing social media campaign performance and execution. Confidence in analyzing performance to scale/pause campaigns, as necessary.
6. Collaborative mindset and energetic, ready to proactively work with multiple departments.
7. Knowledge of digital asset management - coordinating video, image and copy assets for social media campaigns.
8. Understanding of audience segmentation and management - ensuring audiences are up to date and are being used effectively.
9. Advanced Microsoft Excel (or equivalent) skills to understand data metrics.
10. Ability to be flexible when changes are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience with high end hand-made products.
2. Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and integration.
3. Research and data analysis experience using Google Analytics or completed certification.
4. Experience using business intelligence tools and visual dashboard tools such as Tableau, Power BI and / or Google Data Studio.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
2. Ability to stand for extended periods of time to create social media content.
3. Spend up to 40 hours per week in on-site office and studio environment.
