We are actively seeking a hardworking problem solver to join our live production team in West Mansfield, Oh as a Farm Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for a poultry production plant.

Essential Functions:
- Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems.
- Perform preventive and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshooting and replace or repair drive chains, gears, belts, pullies, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gear boxes.
- Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Work around animals and/or in confined areas.
- Comply with safety regulations and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures. Reports any violations to a supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipment.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Willing to work off schedule shifts and/or nights when necessary.
- Must be able to follow all WBI safety and biosecurity standards thoroughly.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once – the ability to deal with stressful situations.
Work Environment
- Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres. Which may include egg odor, general dampness, flies and mice, and general spills or messes that are common in a layer house facility.
