About Venture House
Venture House is a community-based non-profit, mental health agency, using the Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Our mission is to support individuals living with mental illness to achieve recovery through improved access to education, employment, recreation, housing and community engagement in an environment of mutual acceptance and empowerment.
Venture House operates both Clubhouse (non-residential) and Scattered Site Supportive Housing programs.
We are seeking a dynamic Program Director to develop and manage our new Brooklyn Clubhouse program, opening August 1, 2024.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Manage fiscal and administrative oversight of the Clubhouse
- Monitor scope of service requirements, ensuring contractual obligations are met
- Track trends in census, attendance and outcomes
- Submit all reports to DOHMH and OMH on a timely basis
- Oversee recruitment and hiring process for all staff
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures
- Provide supervision of managers to support professional development
- Participate in the performance evaluation of all program staff
- Ensure documentation in electronic health record is thorough, timely and in compliance with HIPAA
- Oversee outreach efforts
- Establish collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders
- Participate in marketing efforts in conjunction with Outreach Coordinator
- Coordinate facilities management, ensuring all inspections are conducted as scheduled
- Report repair and maintenance needs to senior leadership
- Participate and engage members and staff in the Work-ordered-day
- Participate in facilitating evening and weekend programming on a monthly basis
- Perform other duties as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Maintain friendly, caring, and professional comportment at all times
- Work is trauma informed, person centered and strength-based
- Handle crises in a skilled, supportive, and effective manner
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:
- Master’s degree or equivalent training or experience preferred.
- Three years supervisory experience preferred
- Willing to attend Intensive Clubhouse training
