As an Internal Quality Control Auditor within our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet established quality standards. You will conduct audits, analyze data, and collaborate with various teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, adherence to regulations, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Quality Audits: Perform regular audits of production processes, materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality metrics, defect rates, and process performance. Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data insights.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of audit findings, corrective actions, and process improvements. Generate reports summarizing audit results, highlighting areas of concern, and recommending solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, quality assurance personnel, and other relevant areas to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of defects.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying factors contributing to quality issues or deviations from standards. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes effectively.
- Training and Education: Provide training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and monitor the quality of materials and components supplied by external vendors. Ensure that supplier products meet our quality requirements and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant quality regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements applicable to automotive manufacturing. Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in quality control, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) is a plus.
- Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
- Familiar with IATF
Working Conditions:
- This position primarily operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
- May require occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
- Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate production schedules or audit requirements.
