Direct the financial analysis, accounting practices, and financial reporting to assist management, owners, and other users in making informed economic decisions about the company's future. Oversee day-to-day financial accounting and treasury operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, and maintain a system of accounting records and internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the finance team's activities to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements and annual budgets.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, enhancing the company's value.
- Participate in a variety of special projects and compile special reports.
- Perform specialized calculations, operations analysis, and model financial scenarios.
- Review and analyze monthly actuals against budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee and manage the treasury function, including cash management and debt.
- Review and monitor contracts to ensure accounting compliance with all agreements.
- Investigate and respond to owner inquiries as instructed.
- Prepare other reports as directed by the CEO, CFO, or owners.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, filings, reports, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Oversee the internal audit function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required; MBA and CPA candidates preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible, hands-on accounting managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in farming, ag processing, or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
- Superior skills in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite and Excel.
- Experience with accounting system software, preferably Famous.
- Capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
