General Job Description:
The role of the HR Manager is to provide leadership in the implementation of employee pay, benefits, recruitment, hiring, retention, legal compliance, and all HR programs and services. The HR Manager serves as a resource and consultant to leadership team, managers, and employees, on personnel issues, while developing a spirit of cooperation and teamwork, to make a positive impact on the company and our people. The HR Manager will train with the HR Director and the Payroll and Benefits Manager. This role will also train on the production floor to learn the manufacturing, maintenance, and operation functions in order to understand all employees’ responsibilities and needs.
The HR Manager responsibilities are primarily focused on:
- Providing accurate and timely payroll and insurance benefits to our employees. Insurance includes administration of medical, dental and vision as well as the coordination of short and long term disability benefits.
- Providing excellent customer service to employees and business partners through the timely administration of insurance, pension, wellness, and 401K benefits as well as the administration and management of employee programs supporting uniforms, safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Other areas of support include employment verifications, coordination of housing for visitors, management of lease car program for commercial team, short-term and long-term disability insurance, Family Medical Leave activities, and special event and meeting coordination.
· Providing support to payroll, benefits, and hiring specialist when there are questions and issues that arise with managers, employees, and suppliers of services, which are non-routine and require additional analysis, legal advice, or leadership involvement.
· Acting as administrator for pension and 401K plans. Actively set up retiree pensions.
· Process and pay out all incentive program payments.
· Provide support and direction to CEO, COO, CFO, Planning Director, and other managers and supervisors on policy questions, proposed changes, and special requests.
· Provide direction and support on all disciplinary issues, including investigations and document retention.
· Provide support to finance team and auditors for various audits (internal/external).
· Maintain compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and reporting.
· Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to maintain competitive pay and incentive programs. Work with leadership team to attract and retain talented employees.
· Lead the process of annual employee evaluations and performance recognition.
· Support HR team at HQ (monthly report out, headcount, special projects).
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· A minimum of 3 years of human resources experience leading most HR functions.
· Proven ability to mentor and lead others to achieve positive results.
· Proven ability to improve operational effectiveness while reducing costs.
· Ability to plan and coordinate many projects simultaneously.
· Ability to understand all operations of the plant and how each impacts the other.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5 years’ experience as HR Manager.
· 3 years’ experience on Manufacturing Production Floor.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
