JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operational and technical Human Resource duties to include: employment application intake, computer entry and file maintenance, assisting employees with interpretation of the company’s human resource policies and procedures, and conducting new employee orientation. Also responsible for safety initiatives/follow-up, maintenance of confidential personnel files (electronic and paper), personnel actions, employment status verifications, training, and benefits administration . Acts as liaison between the employee and corporate HR functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform recruitment activities, interviews, and evaluate candidates for select positions at headquarters. Write and place advertisements. Maintain records related to same.
2. Complete reference and background checks on new employees as needed. Verify I-9 documentation.
4. Assist in administration of compensation program; help to monitor performance appraisal process.
6. Process all necessary paperwork for employee onboarding and termination. Notify all appropriate internal departments (IT, payroll) and outside vendors (insurance, 401(k)), etc.)
7. Maintain records for human resources and payroll, and compile reports from database as needed.
8. Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
9. Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
10. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
11. Assist and advise company managers regarding human resource issues.
