Job Summary:
Recycling Technicians are responsible for all activities related to the handling of oil filled transmission equipment at A-Lines customer location.
Responsibilities:
- Testing, segregating, draining, logging, and loading of drained and oil filled electrical equipment as required by the Oncor contract.
- Ensures that the necessary tools and equipment are available and in working order to complete assignments.
- Inspects quality and quantity of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- adhere to all ONCOR safety policies including but not limited to PPE requirements and tool and equipment operations.
- Verifies that outgoing shipments meet company quality standards.
- Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating hand and powered tools preferred.
Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Physical Demands:
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in a physically demanding position.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and push and/or pull 50-pounds at a time.
- Must have the manual dexterity needed to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work some Saturdays and overtime when needed.
- Must be able to work inside and/or outside and be exposed to all weather elements, including extreme heat, wind, rain, snow, and freezing temperatures.
- Must be able to work in conditions that are exposed to loud noise, heavy vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and around hazardous and/or non-hazardous materials.
