General Statement of Duties:
This position manages all aspects of the museum membership program, registrations, renewals, member inquiries, as well as developing materials and programs to re-engage former museum members and recruit new ones. The Membership Coordinator manages the Wild Apricot membership database, which includes entering new members, maintaining member records, running reports, and managing monthly invoices. This position is also responsible for overseeing the institution's growing Corporate Membership program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary liaison to Museum members, responds to all member inquiries and maintains excellent customer service; troubleshoots any potential problems with consideration and efficiency.

Maintains member records and data in the online Wild Apricot database; creates monthly Membership data reports and invoices.

Coordinates reciprocal membership programs such as NARM and benefits with other museums, libraries, and other cultural organizations.

Manages all member events, working with museum and school staff to create events that appeal to all audiences. Attends events and meets and recruits new members.

Responds to requests for donations and collateral from regional organizations.

Works with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create branded items and activities of interest for members, highlighted in Museum Membership Month every October.

Working with the Development Officer, runs the Corporate Membership program, recruiting new members, serving as the liaison to all members, and promoting and implementing the benefits of the program.

Manages the membership element of the Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition every summer.

Requirements:
- BA or BFA from an accredited institution in Art History, Art Education, Museum Education, Studio Art, or related fields.

Minimum one year of applicable experience working in a museum setting or public arts organization.

Experience in a customer service position
Additional Qualifications:
- Interpersonal skills working with a variety of audiences are a must: be courteous, efficient, and possess a positive attitude.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, Wild Apricot, and Raiser's Edge a plus.

Knowledge of museums and/or the visual arts a plus.

The candidate must be reliable, punctual, accountable, and professional.

Ability to work a flexible work schedule; to include weekends and beyond normal working hours when necessary.

Work from home on a limited basis possible.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time non-benefited, contract position, not to exceed 18 hours per week.
