Member Experience Representative

Full Job Description
A Member Experience Representative (MER) will act as a liaison offering products and services, information and resolve any emerging problem that the member accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency while providing outstanding professional service. Take the extra mile to engage members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opens new membership accounts and loans to new and existing members to meet their financial needs.
- Utilizes account information to ask pertinent questions to assess members’ financial needs to offering the best products and services to cross-sell.
- Actively cross-sells the credit union products and services by uncovering members’ financial needs.
- Proactively supports the “sales and service” culture.
- Answers all incoming calls in a professional, timely, and courteous manner, following established standards and guidelines for an extraordinary member journey.
- Handel member complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives timely and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of member interactions, process, and file account and loan documents.
- Processes all account maintenance requests for members such as stop payments, check orders, address changes, card orders.
- Processes all transaction and maintenance requests for members, such as payments, deposits, cash advances, wires, and IRA transactions, accurately and according to our policy and procedure guidelines.
- Maintains a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Assists in completion of CTR’s and SAR’s as needed.
- Works as a team player to provide quality service externally and internally.
- Understands all security and responsibilities of the departments within the credit union and maintains a working knowledge of compliance/regulations in the area of responsibility.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Attend meetings, training courses, conferences, and seminars.
- Perform clerical support duties as necessary.
- Assist in other departments as necessary.
Other Duties
As assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge of new accounts, loans, cash handling and IRAs.
Proficient in Microsoft office.
Experience with Symitar, a plus.
5 years of banking experience.
Other Skills:
Exceptional face-to-face and phone demeanor and member service skills.
Ability to listen attentively and assess members’ needs.
Good math skills.
Cheerful with a can-do attitude.
Punctual, reliable, adaptable, and a team player.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
