JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for setting up production systems and logistics SOP's for project-based batch assembly operations, including machine and equipment operation, cell assembly, movement of raw materials and finished product, testing, inspection, and data entry. This role will start as the Production Manager and will quickly promote to the Director of Operations position.
DESCRIPTION

In this position, you will be a critical part of our core team, helping take next-generation products and integrating them into every person's daily life in order to Hydrate Better. We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Production Manager, to join our team in the Austin, Texas area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble products in a production line setting, in tandem with hiring an Assembly Technician to run long-term production.
- Setup various production SOP's, systems, and tools to ensure full production success from the ground up. We currently do not have a production line setup and are looking for this position to set it up in the right way from scratch. Batches will be roughly Qty 300 Units every 2 weeks with the potential for much larger runs. Operation size and personnel will increase as required.
- Operate various machines and custom equipment to complete product assembly.
- Test and record quality data for final assemblies and manual measurements to ensure final product quality.
- Basic machining (drill press, sanding) and other tasks (packaging).
- Visually inspect and test incoming materials to ensure quality parts are used in our products.
- Follow written procedures (Work Instructions, SOPs) and appropriate safety protocols..
- Accurately and comprehensively record work in travelers, batch records, and logbooks within Google Sheets.
- Follow protocols for safe handling of delicate parts.
- Maintain an organized and functional workspace with general duties.
- Other duties requested by the company.
- Deliver epic High Fives.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience working in a production environment.
- Familiarity with equipment including drill presses and power tools.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and succeed in an environment with competing demands, to lift 35 lbs., and stand for extended periods of time.
- Dexterous – able to safely grasp, move, or assemble small objects.
- Proficiency using Google Suite products.
- An aptitude for learning new things and a keen eye for improving processes.
- Previous experience with setting up production lines in a start-up environment.
- Experience with Purchasing, Project Management, and Logistics.
- Preferred: Experience with Amazon FBA.
At the time of posting, the expected starting range for this role is $20 - $30/hour depending on performance and order volume. The actual pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including speed and accuracy of assembly, which will be assessed during the interview process. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
