Job Title: Senior Interior Designer – Commercial Design Studio
Unscripted Interior Design, a nationally recognized Interior Design Firm, with offices in Southwest Denver, CO and Santa Ana, CA is looking to grow the Commercial Design Studio with the following position:
Job Description: Design Position that is of advanced level and simultaneously mentors and supports their design team.
Job Duties include but may not be limited to:
- Expertise in Interior Design concepts, costs, practices, and best methods; working knowledge of Accessibility (ADA), International Building Code (IBC) compliance. construction documentation & furnishings. Ability to value engineer in a quick and organized fashion
- Support Design leadership and team on multiple concurrent projects – nationwide
- Strategic in the development of client presentations – including fabric, furniture, lighting and finish selections.
- Advanced abilities to ensure accurate presentation drawings – including plans, elevations and rendered perspectives
- Great communication and experience consulting directly with clients and all project consultants
- As the point of contact, has the competency, responsibility, and authority to make decisions that advance the project
- Product research - including product specifications, installation, and warranties
- Advanced capabilities to develop ID drawings in all stages of the project – design drawings, preliminary bid set and final working ID documents.
- Excellence in specification of all FF&E and interior finish selections. Ensure that products meet all required Commercial codes.
- Develop FF&E specifications– including furniture, drapery, soft goods, art & accessories.
- Issue specifications to Purchasing department
- Represent the interests of the commercial design studio to ensure issues are addressed & resolved expeditiously
- Required to travel, during various project stages including installations.
- Ability to assist on multiple projects simultaneously, yet fluidly engaged.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA accredited program
- 7+ years of experience in Hospitality, Resort, Multi-family, or Commercial Interiors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit a bonus
- Strong Proficiency in Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft suite
- Proficiency in Procurement Software Platforms
- High level of organizational skills and attention to details
- Can develop relationships with sales representatives and research new vendor sources.
- NCIDQ Certification is highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
