Description:
A delivery driver is responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites. The driver must operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner and adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. The driver must also inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it's in good condition, and perform regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks. The driver must complete delivery paperwork and keep accurate delivery logs.
A facility maintenance will be responsible for maintaining areas and equipment in good working order. He or she performs skilled technical duties possibly involving repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of heating, air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. He or she may also be required to do some yard and concrete work, clean up spills, repair damage, and update signage. He or she will handle all ground maintenance duties.
Requirements:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and deliver construction materials from warehouse to job sites
- Conduct inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure safety
- Load and unload construction materials from the vehicle in a safe and organized manner
- Complete delivery paperwork and logs with accurate information
- Maintain communication with foreman and immediate supervisor
- Adhere to traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Handle basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle such as checking the oil, water, and tires
- Assist in resolving any issues during delivery by communicating with team members and management
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while enroute, to supervisors
- Load and unload construction materials manually or with assistance of equipment
- Complete proper tie down instructions to always maintain secured loads.
- Manage job mobilization and demobilization, working with the PM to ensure done timely and effectively.
- Gang box load outs. Meet the request of the project manager to fill all tooling and consumables needs. Ensure tools not being utilized are in use prior to purchasing additional tools. Place order requisitions to complete requests as needed.
- Replacing lightbulbs and other electrical work
- Plumbing (sinks, toilets, etc)
- Minor HVAC repair and maintenance
- Performs electrical maintenance and repairs to equipment
- Performs center wide basic repair in custodial, roads, and grounds
- Operates and maintains a variety of maintenance associated power tools
- Collects and disposes of all litter, trash and debris on grounds, streets and parking lots
- Assists other maintenance staff with necessary maintenance and repairs of buildings
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to associated equipment
- Performs limited repairs of buildings and associated equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure
- Landscaping (mowing, trimming, sprinkler system)
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Minimum three years of experience with various skilled trades used in building and grounds repair and maintenance
- Must have experience in installing lights, tile, carpet, metal and wood framing, drywall, painting, doors, toilets, urinals, concrete, grounds maintenance
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Experience in operating a variety of hand tools and equipment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Must have experience and advanced knowledge in installing lights, tile, carpet, metal and wood framing, drywall, painting, doors, toilets, urinals, concrete, grounds maintenance
- One to three years’ maintenance experience
