Job Description
Local trucking company looking for a full time Diesel Technician/Mechanic to help maintain fleet of 20+ commercial trucks. Recent graduates of diesel tech programs or provable military heavy equipment experience accepted. This is not a lead mechanic position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to take direction. Will help to diagnose and repair Class 8 tractors through the use of tractor-trailer.net, Detroit Diesel Data Link, and self-knowledge. Will help keep routine services up to date and inspect each vehicle according to schedule. Maintain thorough records of repair with the use of computer software.
Some working knowledge of computers is a plus. Knowledge of components and systems either through work experience or ASE Certification. 609 Certification is a plus. Must be able to lift 60+ lbs. Self-motivated, able to work well alone as well as part of a team. Welding experience is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
