Floor Tech
Job description
Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Ideal Candidate Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent education.
· Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care.
· Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
· Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
· Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
· Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
· Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
Key Accountabilities
· Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
· Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
· Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
· Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
· Wall cleaning
· Dusting (high and low)
· Routine restroom cleaning
· Routine office and break room cleaning
· Maintenance of floor care equipment
