Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support our Real Estate Practice Group. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a high level of work ethic and have the ability to handle the review of complex title and survey issues. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) years (10+ is preferred) of real estate paralegal experience.
- Thorough knowledge of acquisition and sale transactions and commercial loan documentation, including experience in handling and overseeing closing requirements, contract administration, title, survey and entitlements, due diligence review, corporate formations, dissolutions, consents and resolutions, all as applied to commercial transactions.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, Westlaw, and on-line computer research.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with attorneys in numerous offices, clients, and lenders, title companies, surveyors, filing offices, and other outside organizations, and be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
