Mission: Ladders for Leaders exists to bridge the gap between education and industry
Ladders for Leaders is an independent nonprofit corporation qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization seeks to bridge the gap between students and professional experience. This is accomplished by providing students ages 16-18 with skill development and workforce opportunities. We aim to ensure our students acquire workplace readiness skills and become more competitive as they apply to colleges, scholarships or enter the workforce.
Position Summary: The Programs Director will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and management of Ladders for Leaders programs. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for youth development. The Programs Director will work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure the success and growth of our programs.
The Programs Director is responsible for carrying out the following specific tasks:
- Program Development and Management:
- Design, implement, and oversee all Ladders for Leaders programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support program staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for program staff.
- Partnership and Outreach:
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Develop partnerships to enhance program offerings and expand the organization's reach.
- Represent Ladders for Leaders at community events, meetings, and conferences.
- Release quarterly newsletters and an annual report.
- Participant Engagement:
- Recruit, select, and support program participants.
- Ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase participant retention and engagement.
- Data and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze program data to measure outcomes and impact.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with all funding and reporting requirements.
- Fundraising and Grant Management:
- Assist with fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor engagement.
- Manage program-specific grants, ensuring compliance with all requirements and timely reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree - preferred fields: Education, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience in partnership development and community outreach.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Passion for youth development and commitment to the mission of Ladders for Leaders.
- Facilitate new and appropriate programming under the direction of the Board.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,001.00 - $52,748.00 per year
