Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite sushi dishes and a strong background in culinary arts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all food meets high-quality standards and follows proper food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and specials
- Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies
- Keep work area clean and sanitized at all times
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Proficiency in knife skills and sushi preparation techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning and creating new dishes
- Understanding of food safety practices in the culinary field
- Willingness to learn.
