Coordinates building cleaning and general upkeep projects with building engineers to facilitate efficient timely completion of building-level tasks.
Coordinates with the Senior Director of Buildings and Grounds to ensure all buildings undergoing construction projects are ready for use in a timely manner.
Regularly tour and inspect custodial and building engineer work and asses crew members for the purpose of ensuring site and personal safety, maintaining cleaning and facility operational standards, department procedures, and organizing and scheduling needed all maintenance that can be performed by building engineers
Supports personnel as assigned for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the workforce and meeting varying shift requirements throughout the district including coverage for extra-curricular and outside programs and events.
Directs the Substitute Custodial program and assigns subs when and where needed.
Supervises and plans the summer cleaning programs and projects for the purpose of ensuring organizational objectives are achieved in the most efficient and timely manner.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Promotes personal safety, safety procedures, and a safe working environment for all employees for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the District facilities.
Supervises, trains, and assists with evaluating assigned personnel for the purpose of ensuring that district and community standards are achieved and facility and operational performance levels are optimized.
Manages procedures necessary in receiving, routing, and recording of materials and supplies delivered to the building(s)
Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and records (e.g. history of utilization, schedules, calendars, requisitions, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
Facilitates and participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects required to carry out administrative responsibilities that emphasize building upkeep practices that respect sustainability, energy conservation, and reduction of our carbon footprint.
Oversee and coordinate professional development for building engineers and the custodial staff.
Collaborates with district staff, parents, community members, and organizations for the purpose of problem-solving and information sharing related to district facilities and coordinating with the district, including principals and district program directors to help accommodate approved activities in our school buildings.
Maintains the inventory records for supplies, tools, and equipment related to the building engineer and custodial needs.
Coordinates the purchase and allocation of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of resources in order to ensure safe operating conditions.
Coordinate the custodial supplies bidding process, including complying with green requirements and maintenance supplies and equipment that also conform to district and community sustainability guidelines.
Responsible for scheduling staff to cover events and building rentals in School Dude
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of District facilities.
