Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Club Manager to join our newly established Wellness Club located in Brooklyn Bridge Park. As the Club Manager, you will be responsible for fostering positive experiences with existing members and attracting new ones, overseeing daily operations and team members. Your focus will be on ensuring exceptional customer service, understanding individual member needs, team development, operational excellence, and driving membership growth. A significant part of your role will be to enhance community engagement, creating a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages interaction and a sense of belonging among members. Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Actively foster a club culture that promotes interaction and a sense of community among members. Develop and oversee events, workshops, and social gatherings that encourage members to connect with each other and strengthen community ties.
- Member Experience Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- New Member Acquisition: Develop strategies to attract and onboard new members, including but not limited to referral programs, special events, and promotions.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all members receive the highest level of service, actively seeking feedback and implementing improvements based on member suggestions.
- Membership Sales: Promote and sell membership packages, providing potential members with detailed information about the club's offerings and benefits.
- Member Orientation and Onboarding: Conduct member orientation sessions, introducing new members to the club's facilities, services, and programs.
- Retention Strategies: Implement initiatives to improve member retention, such as loyalty programs, personalized follow-ups, and member appreciation events.
- Member Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless and integrated member experience.
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute member engagement campaigns, social media initiatives, and other promotional activities.
- Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with wellness industry trends, competitor offerings, and member preferences to continually improve the club's services.
- General Support: We are a startup requiring a can-do attitude. While the responsibilities above will cover the majority of day-to-day activities, there is an expectation that no task is too small if it contributes to our members’ experience and Recoverie’s success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a member-facing management role, preferably within the wellness, gym, or spa industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with members and handle inquiries effectively.
- Sales and customer service-oriented, with a track record of driving member satisfaction and retention.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage member data and coordinate events and promotions.
- A passion for health and wellness, with knowledge of various fitness and relaxation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and member demands.
- Proficiency in using customer experience management (CRM) software is a plus.
The salary range is $60,000-$65,000 with performance bonus.
