Overview:
As the Director of Environmental Services, you'll assume 24-hour accountability for ensuring excellence in all aspects of cleaning services across Beebe Healthcare's three campuses, including laundry operations. You'll bring substantial knowledge of healthcare infection control processes, guiding the safe and effective use of cleaning methodologies, equipment, and chemicals within our healthcare environment. As a key member of Beebe's Leadership team, you'll align departmental efforts with the medical center's goals and mission.
Responsibilities:
Your role will involve providing round-the-clock leadership to the Environmental Services Department at the main campus, Rehoboth campus, and South Coastal Campus, with potential expansion to other locations. You'll collaborate with managers and team leads to ensure adequate staffing, training, and competency in healthcare cleaning and disinfection standards as mandated by CMS and the Joint Commission. You'll also oversee the procurement and maintenance of supplies and capital equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and budgetary compliance. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in developing and mentoring staff for future leadership roles, providing continuous feedback and support through various communication channels and evaluation processes.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess at least three years of management experience in environmental services. Your expertise should include training in specialized cleaning equipment, and you should demonstrate clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in basic computer programs and the ability to handle confidential patient and team information are essential. You should be adept at managing crisis situations and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, team members, and visitors. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required to qualify for this position.
