Job Title: Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator
Reports To: CEO
Job Summary:
Due to growth, Family Centered Services (FCS), headquartered in Bluffton, Indiana, is seeking a Part-Time Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator. FCS is an agency focused on serving children and families in rural NE Indiana. The current service delivery area includes Adams, Wells, Huntington, and Grant Counties.
The Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for working with the CEO, agency leadership and Board of Directors in planning, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of resource development for the organization with other team members. This position directly reports to the agency CEO.
This is a part-time hybrid position, with the added benefit of flexibility in scheduling. Schedule may vary due to seasonal needs with evening and weekend work required as necessary. The position is grant funded. Salary will depend on experience.
The Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of a marketing plan and fund-generating strategy, with milestones and reporting, to increase FCS’s resources, including major events, fundraising, major gifts, direct mail/web-based giving, sponsorship acquisition, and cultivating new donors and volunteers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Fundraising Activities:
· Work with Fundraising Committee to participate in and support fund raising activities.
· Analyze current programs and fundraising activities.
· Initiate and generate new programs and ideas.
· Work on special giving and sponsorship programs such as the Duck Race, and other major events, small program or item specific grants, special campaigns, etc.
Marketing:
· Prepare a comprehensive marketing plan to meet the strategic plan goals for FCS.
· Identify and pursue sources of individual and corporate funding.
· Develop, cultivate, and implement major donor solicitation and gift plans.
· Work with volunteer committee to cultivate volunteers and donors.
Communication:
· Develop materials, content, and tools for raising funds and community awareness, including overseeing websites, social media, newsletter, brochures, campaign materials, videos & testimonials.
· Make presentations to church, civic, and community groups.
· Represent FCS at community events, career days and job fairs.
Administration:
· Provide accurate development reports to CEO and Board.
· Work well as a “team member” with other administrative personnel.
· Flexibility and ability to work on multiple high priority projects.
· Utilize and accurately maintain Donor-Perfect database system.
· Attention to detail and planning skills, particularly relevant to event planning.
· Ability to solve problems independently, effectively, and creatively.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Requires some public speaking.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, database, and PowerPoint.
· Strong knowledge and skills of the internet, social media, and online marketing tools
· Energetic, creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Self-starter and ability to work both independently and with other staff and volunteers.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Environment can include home office, on site office hours, outdoors, and community events, usually in Service Delivery Area.
· While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
