The Day Camp Leader provides direct supervision of summer camp participants between the ages of 5 and 12. You will be responsible for activity planning and preparation, developing supply lists for scheduled activities, conducting activities in arts and crafts, sports, field games, and special events, and assisting the Recreation Program Lead with activity implementation.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an extrovert who loves ice-breakers and singing in groups.
- Have some experience working or volunteering with children.
- Be able to work throughout the summer.
- Have experience/expertise in games, crafts, sports, etc.
- Can work as a member of a team.
- Have effective interpersonal and group communication techniques.
- Can gain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Have a passion for developing environments that celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Hours range from 15-40 per week. Evenings, weekends, and vary schedules are not likely, but may be required. This is an ideal entry-level position for 16-20 year-olds with some camp experience or experience working with children.
$17 per hour.
Over age 18 is preferred; must be at least 16 years old.
