The Williamson County Bagel Company is a brand new concept looking to elevate the bagel dining experience in Texas by providing freshly baked, artisanal bagels in a welcoming, quick-service oriented environment. Our tenets are:
- Build Your Own Bagel (BYOB) - We want each guest to have the freedom to customize their bagel sandwich as they see fit with a wide variety of bagels, spreads and toppings.
- The Perfect Bite Every Bite - We put love into the way we craft our products so that our guests enjoy their meal from start to finish.
About the Bagel Captain:
The Bagel Captain will be assisting the Head Chef with daily bagel making, baking, kitchen operations, and team members. Prepare and bake bagels according to the Wilco standards and recipes. Work closely with the Front of House staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Support the chef in running all BOH aspects of the restaurant. Comply with all applicable laws and guidelines in respect to federal, state and local agencies. Maintain core recipes.Make sure the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times. Maintain recipe books and ensure accessibility to team members in Google Drive. Routinely taste food items to insure consistency and conformance to recipes and standards of appearance. Ensure daily line checks are conducted with management team for taste, temperature and accuracy. Hold vendors accountable for the highest standards of quality and pricing. Properly check-in deliveries for quality, accuracy and missing items, and wash before storing to health department requirements. Coordinate all daily prep needs with proper system and checklists and maintaining par levels. Ensure all proper holding and cooling procedures are in place and are at designated temperature. Work with shift or management on duty to execute menu updates and changes in Chef’s absence.
Pay Rate: $18.00 + tips
Qualifications:
-18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED
-Culinary education preferred but not required
-Baking experience required
-ServSafe Certificate
-Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast paced restaurant required
-Able to communicate and understand English
- Able to work early mornings
-Can lift up to 50 lbs.
-Can work up to 40 hours per week, holidays and weekends
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
