SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST (SPECIALIST) – NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION / WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT / HEADQUARTERS
The reporting location for this position is DPR Headquarters in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory).
Join the Wildlife Management Program within the Natural Resources Division of California State Parks in Sacramento to provide technical expertise to preserve and protect the state’s extraordinary biological diversity and most valued natural resources. This important and challenging position is an exciting opportunity to provide expertise in support of the entire State Park system. Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor) the incumbent will have lead responsibility for providing scientific and analytical expertise, policy guidance, interagency coordination, and technical support on the implementation of restoration projects to meet the Department’s goals and objectives.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a dedicated group of natural resource professionals to chart the next advancements in State Parks natural resource management.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Occasional travel may be required (up to 20%). Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.

This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered.
