JOB SUMMARY
The coach is responsible for implementing the Kidokinetics curriculum, ensuring each child has a positive and successful Kidokinetics experience, and is responsible for the well being of each student who attends a Kidokinetics class. The coach assumes the role of coach, friend, guide, disciplinarian, and mentor. Ultimately it is the coach’s responsibility to carry out the mission of Kidokinetics: helping children enhance coordination, concentration, and fine/gross motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The coach reports directly to the Kidokinetics Director and Kidokinetics assistant director
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares events, activities, lessons, games, and classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics Inc.
- Abides by the safety guidelines of Kidokinetics Inc. at all times
- Conducts classes in an enthusiastic, nurturing manner
- Arrives to each class prepared with the appropriate lesson plans, equipment, supplies and other materials
- Set up a sign and/or banner for display at the location
- Takes care of equipment and supplies
- Monitors temperature of classrooms and facilities (if applicable)
- Makes every effort to connect one-on-one with each child
- Addresses concerns or special needs for children and caregivers
- Proper use of Kidolink for all reports, attendance sheets, registration forms, etc. accurately and on time
- Is a good role model for young children physically, emotionally, and socially
- Works as part of a team
- Provides an environment of acceptance that supports and respects cultural differences
- Sets clear, consistent limits, has realistic expectations, and uses positive methods of child guidance
- Provides opportunities for each child to develop feelings of competence, self-esteem, and a positive attitude toward physical activity and learning
- Participates in training to improve skills and professional competencies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
