POSITION SUMMARY
The EPIC Charter School Marketing and Communications Coordinator will have a strong background in graphic design, social media management, and content creation. This role will involve developing and executing marketing strategies, creating engaging school materials, managing the EPIC social media presence, and maintaining our WordPress website. Video production skills are highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Design and produce high-quality graphics for school materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, certificates, and other promotional content
- Develop and manage content for social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to enhance engagement and grow our online presence
- Create, update, and maintain the school's WordPress website, ensuring content is current, relevant, and visually appealing
- Collaborate with various departments to create and distribute documents and forms that align with the school’s branding and communication standards
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events to promote the school's programs and initiatives
- Produce and edit videos for promotional, educational, and informational purposes.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of our marketing efforts
- Analyze and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns and social media engagement to inform future strategies
- Ensure all marketing and communication materials are consistent with the school's brand guidelines and mission
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the appropriate administrator
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS
- Proven experience in graphic design, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other design tools
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, including content management and basic website maintenance
- Demonstrated experience managing social media channels and creating engaging content
- Video production and editing skills, with proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, are a major plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and social media
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint (or Google Suite equivalents)
- Travel as needed to various locations in the counties EPIC serves (Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
