Job Summary: As Ryse’s Field Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to support Ryse’s sales efforts by building and enhancing distributor relationships through market execution, a growth-oriented sales strategy, and effective distributor management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Aggressively identify, target, and sample existing and potential accounts, both individually and in partnership with distributors to maximize product offerings within an assigned territory
- Develop, manage, and optimize partnerships using objective tools, information, and feedback to drive performance results and meet territory goals
- Apply a sales strategy to target key markets
- Train and educate distributor representatives and new Field Sales Representatives on product knowledge, company sales methodologies, procedures, and current promotions
- Attend distributor meetings on a regular basis and as needed
- Act as a direct line of communication to all levels of the assigned distributors (i.e. sales, merchandising, drivers, cooler services, administrators)
- Ensure that distributors’ merchandising personnel adequately service accounts based on sales achieved and shelf/floor space obtained by the Field Sales Representative
- Maximize the sale and distribution of company products in the assigned territory through appropriate execution of local and/or national sales programs
- Execute promotional programs and activities with key partners
- Provide reports on day-to-day sales activities and results to Leadership and provide back-up to support sales and bonus program objectives
- Adhere to company standards, best practices, and operating procedures
- Manage sales reporting obligations in a timely manner including frequent sales updates, pricing surveys, etc.
- Flexible with travel as needed for the role
Education and Requirements:
- Experience in Sales roles and/or willingness to engage in Sales training
- Demonstrated knowledge of Wholesalers, distributor and retail customers
- Proficiency with basic operating skills of computers, software, and/or handheld devices
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs. or greater as required for the role
- Able to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical acts associated with the role
- Able to travel as needed
Standout Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management and organizational skills
- Excels at being an individual contributor with little to no supervision needed
- Able to establish and maintain positive rapport and credibility with customers, distributors, wholesalers, and all levels of collaborating partners
