Job Title: Food Pantry Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Food Pantry Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various back end warehousing and front end pantry service activities, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. As a Food Pantry Assistant, you will contribute to the overall dining experience by supporting the team, maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse.
Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the ware house by braking down boxes.
- Support Pantry volunteers to restock shelves as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations as directed by Food for Lane County Guidelines.
- Collaborate with team to facilitate smooth operations
- Provide assistance in the sorting and reorganizing resources as needed.
- Help with various tasks as directed by Program Coordinator
Skills:
- Proficiency in safely moving resources.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and standards
- Experience in inventory management environments is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members
- Familiarity with basic tools such box cutters, dollies, refrigerators etc...
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within pantry operations.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
