Position Summary
Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function, including vendor relations. Ensures timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, check requests and employee expense reimbursements, and maintains accurate records. Leads and directs the work of others as needed.
Position Setting
On-site, opportunity for some hybrid (1-2 days a week) after training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Payable processing of vendor invoices, check requests and employee reimbursements ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies/procedures; including monthly close of the accounts payable system and posting journal entries
- Process check runs, ACH payments and credit card payments in a timely manner
- Communicate with vendors on issues that require research and reconciliation
- Respond to financial questions/concerns and provide information as requested for leadership and the annual audit
- Prepare invoices for miscellaneous services/supplies; maintain and reconcile schedule of incoming payments
- Coordinate various periodic and year-end projects, including 1099 reporting
- Coordinate payroll related activities as needed, including preparing quarterly returns and associated payments
Selection Criteria:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years Accounts Payable experience
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, vendors and leadership, preferred
- Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work load, preferred
Schedule:
- 80hrs/2wks
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
