Dull and Boring
…is not what you will have with this full-time, autonomous, position. Orr Systems is an extremely busy systems integration business based in Anchorage, Alaska. We require additional techs that are equally at ease with people and technology.
You are
…probably a somewhat nerdy tech-head. You have the maturity, ethics, and integrity to work directly with clients but welcome the brain-expanding interaction and support of a diverse team of other tech-heads.
We are
… a group of techs supporting small businesses throughout Alaska and a few other states. We work remotely and onsite using our company-supplied resources to supply, rebuild and support the technical infrastructure of diverse business clients. We combine technical finesse, life experience, and resourcefulness to make stuff work.
We need
…. your combination of confidence, competence, cautiousness, and attention to detail. You are not the shy awkward type and are comfortable with a diverse range of personalities. Certification is great but extensive experience as a “generalist” with some specialty that adds value to the team is more important in this role.
You get
…everything you need to fulfill your role – laptop, network management tools, cellphone, remote office equipment, toolkit, mileage, health insurance, and frequent lunch “meetings” to catch up with your fellow techs. The team is there to provide training, knowledge, and skills to help complete larger projects when required.
…different issues and projects cropping up daily that will both tax your skills and expand your knowledge and communication finesse
This position is unique, your work is often autonomous, and self-directed, but you will work closely with existing staff when task efficiency dictates. You are responsible for clients and their business technology but will always have a unique company support structure to rely on.
