Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this Project Engineer position, you will be a critical member of our project cycle. You will interface with Clients with the intent to help them reach their goals. You will be responsible for the life of a project, from inception through construction. Responsibilities include collaborating with our staff and Clients, overseeing and completing geo-related explorations, analyzing complex geotechnical problems, and communicating results both internally and externally through meetings and written reports.
Within this role on our team, you will guide junior-level staff as they define their goals. You will be an integral mentor and team member, collaborating with all levels of staff to align everyone with our company values.
Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree required, with Professional License.
· 4-12 years of related experience.
· Thorough knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.
· A humble approach to mentoring and teaching others.
· A natural ability to collaborate and be part of a growing firm.
· Interpret and present challenges between colleagues and empower junior-level staff.
· Thorough core knowledge of and experience in geology/engineering crossover.
· Ability to read, understand, and interpret geotechnical engineering reports, construction plans and specifications, professional journals and research papers, and engineering calculations.
· Supervisory and management history, with a desire to lead others.
· Extensive customer service, vendor, and client relations experience.
· Collaborative team player with the ability to work and cooperate with clients, vendors, and fellow employees.
· Self-driven, motivated, and ready to be a key part of a growing firm.
· Exceptional verbal, professional writing, listening, and communication skills
· Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Geotechnical analysis software.
· Understanding of or experience with slope stability software required.
· The ability to perform varying degrees of field work.
· Valid driver's license.
· Some travel involved.
