SUMMARY: The Records Technician assists the efforts of the Quality Department by supporting the development of quality plan, programs, procedures and provides administrative support for the Quality Department in maintaining quality documents and data along with assistance with managing quality system procedures.
Reports to: Quality Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage Technical Library (Manuals)
- Maintains currency of agreements for licenses in technical library.
- Ensures items in technical library are the latest revision and ensures that they are available to the areas requiring their use.
Manage and maintain Intranet
- Develops, maintains and control
Training Program:
- Maintaining the repair station training program by assisting with the proper filing of records.
- Assist with the scheduling of the initial and recurrent training of employees to comply with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains the currency and accuracy of the repair station rosters.
- Evaluation of training program needs.
- Creation of training materials to support the needs of the program.
Audit Program:
- Support the Quality Manager with the in the preparation of the audit schedules and hosting customer and National Aviation Authority (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CARC, etc.) Audits.
- Support the Quality Engineer with the preparation of the third party and customer audits.
- Verify the performance and closure of quality audits (internal and external).
- Support program by performing Internal and vendor Quality audits.
Control of Documents (Docs and Data control)
- Supports the revision / creation of Controlled Documents.
- Organizes and maintains file system and files records as required.
- Maintains control over the distribution and currency of all quality system manuals, procedures, work instructions, documents and forms.
- Maintain the accuracy of the issued (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CARC, etc.) certifications.
- Maintains the currency and accuracy of the repair station approved vendor list.
- Maintains and files records of approved suppliers.
- Maintains calibration list, upload of records to ERP system and scheduling
Quality Department Support:
- Maintains Quality metrics.
- Complete Customer mail-in audit questionnaires, as requested.
- Prepares courier packages when packages and documents need to be delivered.
- Locates and attaches appropriate files, orders, etc. to correspondence.
- Provide reports on quality related issues as requested by Management. Prepares reports, graphs and presentations where information may be obtained from a variety of sources.
- Collects and prepares statistical data in spreadsheets and graphs, as assigned.
- Provide administrative and clerical support, as assigned.
Record Storage Management
- Organize, maintain, and oversee the record storage system, ensuring easy retrieval and security of all records.
- Develop and implement record retention policies and schedules.
QUALIFICIATIONS:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
