The Epiphany School of Global Studies seeks an experienced Middle School/Upper School Choral Music teacher for a full-time position, beginning in August 2024.

Epiphany's Trent Road Campus is our lively center of discovery and learning for students in grades 6-12.
Successful candidates will have a high level of comfort working in an independent school setting that allows for innovative teaching, curricular design input, and collaboration with a professional team of educators. This choral music teacher will instruct students in grades 6-12. Candidates will plan a program of study in music education that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. Candidates will develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. They will assist in the selection of sheet music, equipment, and other instructional materials. They will instruct students on vocal and choral skills, musical notation, ensemble development, musical genres and repertoire. They will coordinate and direct all rehearsals, and they will coordinate students’ solo and group performances outside school hours with students for festivals, community events, and competitions. They will conduct music in concerts and performances. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, and engaging interpersonal skills. They will fully embrace the school's mission and engage their students using instructional methods that are innovative, appropriate, relevant, and reflective. Instruction must also integrate technology, elicit critical thinking, and challenge students to continue discovery beyond the classroom. A successful candidate should also consider the possibility of taking on responsibilities such as a leadership role with a student club, becoming a student advisor, or even an athletic coach.
